In my Own Words:
What makes me feel completely alive is bringing people together. And if I could spend all of my time studying and writing about one thing, it would be religion.

I myself was raised in the Christian church: first at an old order Mennonite church (you know, where the women still wear the little white head coverings and make all the family’s clothing) and then at an Independent Christian church. I got a degree in Communication Arts from Gordon College, a small evangelical Christian college in Wenham, MA, and now live in Gloucester, MA, working as the director of a community art center and belonging to the First Congregational Church of Essex.

Even though I have always found my spiritual home in the Christian church, I have had a passion for learning about and cooperating with other religions as long as I can remember. If we can educate ourselves on the commonalities between religions and then act upon those shared ethics, we could really make the world a better place through service and kindness.

As a part of The Universal One, I’m uniting my passion of learning about the religions of the world and bringing people together by making sure we have as many resources and opportunities for cooperative service as possible all in one place. And I’ve always got an open ear (or email inbox) if you want to share more about your beliefs.
