Steve Wilson's Spotlight
Dreams bring the impossible to life and in this Healer’s Spotlight segment we honor one man’s journey into the world of impossibility to bring to light the illusion of anything being impossible.
In the realm of quantum thinking, all that is first existed as possibility. The existence of all we know is born out of an infinite number of possibilities. It is only our choice in any given moment that determines the possible outcome through which we shape and create within our reality.
Therefore, the idea of anything being impossible is true, but only for those who choose to believe in it. People without a desire to dream beyond the impossible will dream a limit to what is possible, making evolution beyond the illusion impossible.
The realm of imagination is first entered into by acceptance of all things being possible. Children have a natural acceptance of possibility since they have not been given limitations on what is possible in their lives. This is why children are the masters of imagination! They can dream all things into life! What we can learn from children is that we were born to imagine life as much as we were born to live it.
After we accept all being possible, we must learn to dream all favorable possibilities into reality. This is the life of a shaman and this is the story of Steve Wilson.
From all accounts, Steve Wilson came from modest beginnings. He didn’t have much, but what he did have was an imagination full of acceptance. Beyond the realm of here, he was always attuned to there. As far back as he can remember, he has always experienced supernatural visions and spirits. For example, at around five to seven years of age, wolves would just manifest themselves in his bedroom and he would see visions while playing out in his sandbox.
At such a tender age, his mind lacked comprehension and he quickly learned to become afraid of what he didn’t understand. As with any typical child, the monsters in the closet scared him, but in an untypical way so did the other side that showed itself in and around the physical world we strongly hold on to in this life.
The realities of the other side were hard for young Steve to grasp in this reality and the two worlds began to blur. He would have visions of the past merging with the present and future. Not yet having his feet grounded, he would get whisked away in these visions. This became too much for others to understand. They found it hard to cope with what were perceived as flights of fancy.
His Grandmother being wise in years saw things differently and took steps to help him understand his connections to the unseen. She began sneaking him to a spiritualist church. And at the tender age of seven, Steve’s journey into mastering his understanding and abilities was born. Here, he would learn hands-on healing and get his confirmation that, indeed, the dead live on and there is a whole other world out there. His feet would find their grounding place and Steve would learn to distinguish here from there.
Of course, at that time, he didn’t know this but the vision of his future was conceived. The seed of awareness without fear was planted and the door to exploration was opened. But for Steve, just like most kids, he would soon hit puberty and his teenage ambitions were less about the other side and more about bands, music, rock-n-roll, and girls. He became enthralled with the energy that arose from making music. And things remained fairly typical by societal standards.
Then when his twenties hit, he began having vivid dreams about a helicopter pilot in a green beret. They would fly around together. It was amazingly real. Steve loved it! He would go about his day waiting for the moment that he could fall to sleep so they could fly the helicopter somewhere together. This went on for about a month until the pilot in the green beret told him how he couldn’t leave. He was trapped here in this state.
Instinctively, Steve knew what to say to is man in order to help him move on. They had become friends and Steve spoke the words that would lead the pilot toward the divine light. After the pilot moved on, Steve awoke with a surge of energy that could be felt in his room. He knew something special had occurred and this woke more than his sleeping mind, it awoke his spiritual interests and abilities with a sense of curiosity and exploratory wonder.
Of course, we’re all human and the world we create feels just as real as the world created for us and around. For Steve, after a few failed relationships, his heart closed up and he knew he had to do something about it. So just like any spiritual-minded person, he left it up to the universal and picked a random healer out of the phone book! The woman who answered his call introduced him to the world of crystal healing and the connection we have to the energies of the earth. This came easy to him since he has always been attuned with the natural world. From a child on, Steve has had a deep empathetic connection to animals, trees, and all living beings. He feels what they feel.
After spending a few years strengthening his connections and relationship to the world around him, he was ready to grow in wisdom and understanding. He was ready to explore and so he spent a lot of time travelling and learning from great teachers.
Finally, Steve found his place and it was naturally accepted, he would serve others. The best way to understand his decision is simple; we are here to serve each other. Life serves life. Life promotes life. And when we grow in oneness, we soon discover there isn’t a difference between him or her, or you and I. We all give and receive life, because we are all One in life. The uniqueness of life is not a difference, but only the mere diversity of the divinity within us. We are a whole part of source, which is only a fracture of the divine. What we see as difference is only a matter of not having the ability to see the totality of what is. To serve our fellow human beings is to serve the well being of all life. It is more than an honor; it’s giving and receiving the fruit of life when we accept our place to serve life.Steve began doing shamanic readings, healings, and teaching shamanic classes at a local spiritual center. Along with this, he started his own nonprofit paranormal investigative team with the focus on helping to educate the public about the world of life after death. The name of this organization is “The Spirit Light Network”, and over time it grew. Currently, there are several chapters within the Northeast. For Steve, things went on like this for a while.
Then a shift began when the size of Steve’s shamanic classes grew too large to accommodate in the small space provided by the spiritual center. The owner of the center found a bigger space for them and this worked out seamlessly until the owner informed Steve that he was going to lose the space. Steve just assumed he’d focus on his personal practice, but the universe had other plans for him.
One day, seeming slightly random, someone suggested to Steve that he should build a yurt.
“What’s a yurt?” Steve asked.
He had no idea until low and behold, when he was cross country skiing up in NH and there before him, in the middle of the woods, stood a yurt. Steve checked it out and thought it was cool.
After the trip, he looked into possibly building the yurt, until he discovered it was a lot of work and quite an expense. He didn’t think he could possibly pull it off, and said to himself, “Nah, I’m going to focus on my personal practice and get back into hiking and let someone else do the teaching for the rest of the incarnation of this Earth.”
Again, the divine universe had other plans. Steve had his vision for his life, but the divine voice within that he knew so well could not be ignored. He heard, very loud, “You will build this. This is very much needed. This space is a place for people to get together. Make it so. Do you not know that everything you have has been given to you as a gift up until this point?” When he heard this, he sat there shaking a bit because he knew the truth, he felt it. He knew this would be built. It was possible because it was needed, not just for him, but for all who would come.
He began having visions about what it was going to look like and said, “Okay, well, I guess we’re going to do this!” And just like that people came to help, providing Steve with supplies such as a backhoe, cement mixer, wood, and more. There was even an engineer from one of Steve’s classes who volunteered to design and build the deck. Everyone from the classes helped out to build this divine yurt, and within a month-and-half the impossible was erected on sacred ground. And three months later, classes within the yurt were being taught. To give is to receive, and everyone involved received a place to grow in spiritual understanding. The process of building on the ground with which the yurt now stands is something dear to Steve’s heart. Found on this land is a medicine garden, an ever expanding koi pond, and a beautiful gazebo, all were built through visions Steve had received within a four year span of time. He feels grateful to be able to provide a place where people can find comfort, especially during difficult life circumstances.
When Steve welcomes you to “The Sacred Healing Grove” you will feel right at home, because it is home. It’s a place that uplifts the heart, balances the soul, and speaks to the spirit within. It is a place of healing and growth.Steve has no idea what will come of all of this, but as he says, “It’s kind of how my life has been played out. I just go with the flow and see the next thing that comes up!” He believes we all have two different kinds of energy within us, lesson energy and destiny energy. I believe the idea of something being impossible is born out of lesson energy and dreaming the impossible into reality is our ultimate destiny coming to life in this world. The lessen within Steve’s journey is quite simple, dream the dream of possibility and see it into reality, but do it is service of life understanding that what is good for others is good for you as well! This is the journey of One.
